The Kentucky Barrels are a brand new professional Arena Football team calling Truist Arena in Highland Heights home!

If you have never seen Arena Football, here is what you need to know: it is fast, it is physical, it is loud, and it happens fifty yards away from you. There is no bad seat. There is no slow moment. It is the most fun you can have watching football indoors in the state of Kentucky - and the first home game is Sunday, April 12th.

Here is what you need to know about Coach Walker.

He spent ten years as a professional Arena Football player - a defensive back who became one of the most prolific tacklers in the history of the game. He was not just good. He was the kind of player opposing offenses built game plans around. He won a championship as a player. Then he retired, moved to the sideline, and started building the same kind of defenses that made him impossible to play against.

As a defensive coordinator, Walker developed a reputation for taking rosters and turning them into units that suffocate offenses. His tenure with the San Jose SaberCats from 2012 to 2015 put him on the map as one of the sharpest defensive minds in the Arena game. Over his last two seasons, he went 16-7 and won the 2024 Arena Football Championship.

Now, he's come to Kentucky to win.
