Que4Care: Supporting Those With ALS

  • Smoke Justis 302 Court Street Covington, KY, 41011 United States (map)

Que4Care 2025 is a week-long fundraiser happening May 27 through June 2 at Smoke Justis in Covington. The goal is to raise $70,000 to support local community members living with ALS. It’s a full week of drinks, food, music, and meaningful moments — all to rally around those who need it most.

The week kicks off with “Sippin’ 4 Lou” Happy Hours, running Tuesday through Friday from 4 to 7 PM in the Bourbon Lounge. Each evening features a special Que4Care barrel pick from Old Forester and supports a different ALS-focused nonprofit. Tuesday starts with a celebration and bell ringing by Joe Ianneli. Wednesday’s proceeds benefit Always Lifting Spirits, Thursday supports Chair Force 1 Foundation, and Friday wraps up with donations going to Operation Ramp It Up.

On Saturday, May 31, Smoke Justis shuts down Court Street for the Que4Care BBQ Street Party. From 11 AM to 8 PM, we’ll be serving smoked pork, Southern sides, and cold drinks alongside live music and good vibes. It’s a full-day, family-friendly party for a great cause.

The week wraps up on Monday, June 2 with MLB’s Lou Gehrig Day. Smoke Justis has 200 tickets for the Reds vs. Brewers game, and all ticket holders are invited to meet at the restaurant at 5 PM for a community walk across the Roebling Bridge to Great American Ball Park. Posters will be provided to honor loved ones affected by ALS, and a drone will capture the walk as a show of support and remembrance.

After the walk, there will be a special pregame concert outside the ballpark featuring John Driskell Hopkins of the Zac Brown Band, who is living with ALS. His performance will help set the tone for a powerful and emotional night inside the stadium.

This is more than a fundraiser — it’s a show of strength, unity, and care for those in our community facing ALS. Join us.
