On Wednesday, March 11th from 5–8PM, Smoke Justis hosts a guided blind bourbon tasting led by Rhonda Shires of Bourbon Trails and Bluegrass Tales.

If you were at the Bonded Spirit Bluegrass Festival, you already saw Rhonda in action. She’s the mind behind the festival’s Bonded Spirit History Tales - bringing Kentucky bourbon history to life with the kind of depth and storytelling you only get from someone who’s spent years studying the trail, the distilleries, and the people who built the industry.

For this tasting, Rhonda is shining a light on another part of bourbon’s story that doesn’t get enough attention: the women shaping the industry today.

She’s selected a lineup of bourbons from distilleries where women play an essential role in the operation—from leadership to production to blending. But there’s a twist: the tasting is completely blind. You’ll taste first, form your opinions, debate with the room, and only then learn what’s in your glass and the stories behind it.

It’s part bourbon tasting, part history lesson, and part guessing game.
